BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance)¶

Byzantine Fault Tolerance is the ability of a distributed system to reach consensus despite some nodes acting maliciously. It derives from the Byzantine Generals Problem and forms the foundation for many blockchain consensus mechanisms.
