Scroll is a Layer 2 scaling solution based on zkEVM technology.

Scroll uses zk-rollup technology, which batch-processes a large number of transactions and generates a zero-knowledge proof, then submits this proof to the Ethereum mainnet for verification. zk-rollups significantly improve transaction throughput and reduce costs by handling most computation and data storage needs off-chain, while only recording minimal data and generated proofs on-chain.
